Provider Appreciation Week
This is in May, and this is a special time to recognize child care providers, teachers, and educators of young children. The founding organizers saw the need to recognize the tireless efforts of providers who care for the children of working parents. Take this opportunity to let our staff know how much their care has enriched the life of your child.
Definition of a child care provider:
Chef, diaper changer, protector, dishwasher, nose wiper, waiter, janitor, sock and shoe finder, nurse, pharmacist, storyteller, driver, self-esteem builder, and over 50 more responsibilities.
Scholastic Book Orders & Fundraisers
We send home Scholastic book order forms for those families that like to order books for their children and, at the same time, fill up our daycare library with free books. We also encourage daycare families to help us raise funds for playground equipment, new learning materials for the children, unplanned expenses, and replace broken or worn-out indoor equipment.
Week of the Young Child
Week of the Young Child is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and was established in 1971. This recognizes that the early childhood years lay the foundation for children’s success in school and later life, and it focuses its attention on the needs of young children and their families. During this time, which falls in April, we plan a whole month of activities for our Adventurous Learning Unlimited Daycare families, such as Family Fun Night, Parents Night Out, Gift-Giving, special snacks, and much, much more!
